Enfold theme breaking down?

It just came to my attention that the person who was the previous webmaster of our church website sent an e-mail to our elders several months ago (somehow I didn’t get it, even though I should have).

She claims that ‘ The website will continue to function for a year or two (not sure how long) but the code will eventually go out of date and the site will start to break. Under the TEMPLATES tab she can see I’ve been using the theme ENFOLD. If she wants to use a different theme (mine wasn’t a WordPress theme), she can install any other theme and preview it with the option of changing back. No matter what, changing themes means the site will look quite different — layouts, appearance and colours — but all themes will support sermon audio, video, and graphics, which the church needs.’

Is there any truth to her claim?
