Zorgatos,
Thank you so much for your compliments, I don’t have a lot of time to spend describing all the planned features, just know that two bulk actions are in the works for CataBlog 1.2.6, edit category and regenerate images. I can’t think of any other fields right now that need to be bulk editable, maybe price.
Drag and drop reordering was available in 1.1 and 1.2 of CataBlog, and everyone complained that it was to hard to use with large libraries, so I removed it and plan on implementing some kind of gallery or collection system that will let people drag and drop reorder within each gallery. I can get into the technical details about this later, but you may also read my blog posting about it at http://catablog.illproductions.com/2011/04/ordering-multiple-categories/
One thing to keep in mind with bulk edits, it can be very easy to create thousands of database queries in one page load. So these are features I need to design well and test thoroughly before releasing. Again thanks for you interest in CataBlog and if you have a chance and haven’t already, please

Also, you could use the CSV import feature, here would be the steps I would take.
1. Upload your images via FTP
2. Rescan your originals folder
3. Export a CSV version of your catalog
4. Edit the CSV, adding in all categories (separate categories with a vertical bar, | )
5. Import the new CSV file with the replace all option checked.
6. Viola, done 🙂
Hope that helps you out until I get more bulk actions done, cheers!
A new version of CataBlog, 1.2.7 will be released very soon and one of the features is going to be bulk category edits. It might be a bit of an elementary implementation of it, but still should a least be a step in the right direction for your mind numbing concern…
