• The person who set up our WordPress website and thus was the main administrator has left the company. We have put his “access” for the back end to None, but we want to make sure there isn’t a way he can circumvent that and still have access to editing the website. Is there a way to check on that?

    1) Look for hidden users in wp_users. Compare the users you see in the table (via phpmyadmin) to what’s visible in dashboard->users

    2) Change all other user passwords.

    3) While looking at #1, look for other users with email addresses similar to your former admin.

It would be worth changing passwords on your hosting account as well, to ensure the site can’t be tampered with on the back end.
