Hello Quadratfix,
I can only think of a few ways this could happen really. One is that someone has deleted the entries by mistake or your website’s database is corrupted. You see the entry records to the database before it sends the email, so if the entry does not record right, the email will not send.

thank you for answering. Only me can delete entries, and I did not. Nothing in trash. I recieved the mails, which I can not find in “all entries”. Strange.
But: A great plugin!! Thank you!

Sorry about your issue, if it persists you may want to try to run a database repair on your website. Of course you would want to backup everything before doing that, just in case something goes wrong.
