error 1044 with version 3.6.0

    Hi all,
    I saw many topics in the forum with the same error message but I could find how to fix it :

    mysqldump: Got error: 1044: Access denied for user 'ascl-v1'@'%' to database 'ascl_v1' when using LOCK TABLES
SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1044 Access denied for user 'ascl-v1'@'%' to database 'ascl_v1'

    Please could you help me because no more backup are performed for several weeks ?

    Hey there –

    I’ve finally been able to troubleshoot with another user on this issue and we were able to resolve it for them by having the host ensure that all the needed functions and privileges were installed on their server.

    Specifically, have them check that mysqldump has all needed privileges on the mysql functions, including the “Lock Tables” privilege. This specific privilege has not been installed on most sites having trouble.
