    I clicked Go ahead, activate SSL

    I see a white page

    Error thrown
    Call to a member function flush_rules() on null

    This is usually caused by low memory. When you activate, the plugin will also flush the permalinks, and cache.

    Often the error will go away after a few minutes.

    If not, you can try to deactivate your caching plugin, then activate the Really Simple SSL.
