Error with “call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 …”

    This error came out of nowhere today, and is at the end of every post. It also shows up on the end of the excerpts on the archives.

    Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function 'excerpt_more' not found or invalid function name in /home/nbd610/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 287

    Since this was referenced to the core files, I tried a reinstall of WP 5.4.1 but that did nothing. We did do a couple things on the site today but took them off after this error showed up. No change. We didn’t make any changes in the customizer to change excerpt lengths or change the way posts are displayed. Any ideas what may have caused this?
