    Hello.

We have network of blogs running at http://www.shatsu.cz

A few days ago some troubles occured at http://www.shatsu.cz/motion/ and http://www.shatsu.cz/relax/. For normal visitors it should be ok, but when we Log In and when we are actually logged in, the homepage doesnt work .. occuring ERROR 310 ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS.

The network is not WPMU (just saying). Sorry for the English, didn’t want to bother with thinking about the correct form right now…

Any idea what could it be? I’ve read all the cases over the forums, but nothing helps. Tried to deactivate plugins, change htaccess files, some special plugins etc…

I also tried to check on databases, tables, if they are up to date and everything. All should be fine. I don’t get it. We didn’t do anything with these 2 blogs, nothing changed, we were only adding posts. And it did happen on previous version too, I just tried it now to upgrade in case of the redirection problem would dissapear. It did not.

I can logically only think of that it must be doing the admin submenu – because it occurs only when we are logged in (as I already said).

    Any ideas? Thanks :(.

    Something’s causing a redirection loop.

Are you using any plugins for redirects (for ex: re canonical-redirects, WPML plugin)? If so just deactivate them and see if the problem persists.

We did not use them. I tried both of them, one of them worked in a way that only the main page worked… but http://shatsu… to http://www.shatsu… didnt work, single post URLs didnt work… only the homepage. It just totally killed rewrite mod and everything about URLs.

So I deactivated them, but it’s still the same.

That means these plugins caused problems for you. Do you know that even an inactive plugin can create problems? Did you have them while updating?

Don’t remember, but probably not. Tried them on 3.4. … IMHO it doesn’t matter as the problem was there without them but also with them.

The above quote shows the problem was there when you were using the previous version of WP too. So, it is NOT a new problem. So the right thing was to remove such plugins because of conflict with other plugins/ themes, WP, etc.

You had the plugin (though inactive) when you upgraded.

Do you know that even an inactive plugin can create problems?

    See what I wrote above!

What you need to do is to permanently remove the plugin, and see if the problem persists. If it persists, then you may have to follow all other steps.

Though you say you checked up database, you might have missed this aspect.

I deactivated all plugins and removed them. Everything’s completely same. The problem is causing that you’re logged in as admin… It gets in a redirection loop because of that. Otherwise it’s fine.

Anyone knows in which file this redirection exists?

All blogs dont work. All do the same. After log in the homepage just doesnt work.

FIXED. Provider changed server settings… That was the reason.

    What server settings?

Literally “…did changes in HTTP heads processing on the server…”.

    No idea.
