error 500

    When I installed Gantry 5 with default theme, got error 500.
    Support from my hosting told me that they are not supporting gantry framework on the share servers (iPage is my hosting provider).
    I have no problem with gantry 4 and any theme for that version, so I’m a bit confuse where is the problem.
    Can somebody help me? I can setup test page with new gantry if needed.

    Hi,

    First of all can you please tell me what PHP version are you using ?

    Also I have contacted your hosting company but they told me that I need to provide them your domain name so they could check your account. If you don’t want to type it here in the public you can go to our official Gantry page and hit Chat in the top left corner.

    So, this is info from my server: PHP 5.3 ; MySQL 5.5.32 ; Platform Type Debia ; Perl Version 5.8.8
    I set up test website under this domain: test.mk-designer.com
    Wordrpes: 4.3
    Gantry: 5
    Theme: Hydrogen

    Error appeared AFTER activating the theme

    Hi,

    Gantry 5 requires PHP 5.4+ and won’t work on 5.3 or lower.
    You can find this in framework requirements. Please switch your PHP version to 5.4 or higher.

    It really depends on what your hosting company allows. Some of them have settings for PHP version in your hosting admin panel and in some you need to contact them directly.

    Ok updated to 5.5
    back end is working – thanks, but the theme is not
    got this info ‘Failed to load theme: Timber not activated’
    What is about?

    Timber library is a 3rd party WordPress plugin that handles Twig support in WordPress. In your admin you should have a notice with direct-installation link that you can use or just find “Timber Library” plugin in the WordPress plugins directory and install it.
