error 500

    HELP,

    i’ve changed the URL of my site in the general settings and I cannot reach my site anymore !!!
    It gives a error 500.

    How can I get it back !!!

    Oops.

    Read https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Changing_The_Site_URL especially the bit about changing it in the database using phpMyAdmin.

    Thanks ! It really helped.
    I could get in. But it seems a bit unstable. Don’t really understand why. But I feel better.

    Thanks again. I used the second way, as I do have access by FTP. I changed the functions.php .

    Is this a good fix. Can I leave like that ? Or I shoul try to make a real fix. It looks like it is a “patch”…
    anyway, you saved my sunday night !

    Good to hear!

    That IS a real fix.

    Important! Do not leave those lines in the functions.php file. Remove them after the site is up and running again.

    So no, do not leave those lines of code in functions.php. Remove them and carry on.
