Hey majestsick,
Hummm… tough one… (I don’t have any Hostgator accounts)
Does the options page work?
Can you switch WordPress to debug mode?
Add the line:
define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
to the wp-config.php file in the WordPress root.
Does this give any error messages?
Rolf
Thanks for getting back to me, I can get into the settings page but even if I un-tick every thing as soon as I press start optimize it comes up with that error 500 page, on the page it says it could be the htaccess or the file permissions.
I will try and do a debug, never done one before, let you know how I get on.
Thanks
Just done that and cant see any error messages any where :/

‘file permissions’ was the first thing I thought of…
but running it and showing the options page is the same script file so that cannot be the issue here…
If the permission would be wrong also the options page wouldn’t work.
A problem with .htaccess is also unlikely for the same reason.
Rolf
Ill mess around with the htaccess file and let you if I make any progress, I really gota get the plugin working made my other sites incredibly faster even with wp-optmize installed which I will remove now lol.

Hey majestsick,
Just released a new version (v2.7.6) of the plugin.
Please use that version for your testing.
Thanks,
Rolf
All sorted now, it did not like php speedy, why I didn’t try and deactivate all plugins first I don’t know.
Thanks for your help, working perfect now!
