• Hi,

I have installed Super Cache 0.9.1 and am getting Error 500 – Internal server error when I try to log into WordPress.

Just before the problem I noticed something funny had happened to the Plugins page on the WordPress Admin Panel. The Installed plug-ins page did not show any plugins i.e. header and intro text ok, but the body of page was blank – no plug in details.

When I tried the install new, I got the same thing… header and intro text ok, but the body of page was blank – no plug in details.

My website/blog seems to be working ok though, apart from the fact I cannot access the Admin/control panel! 🙁

Help needed to resolve this please!!!!

    Brian

  • I’m having major Error 500 problems as well since updating to Super Cache 0.9.1. Right now I have to leave it turned off or it will quickly down the site.

I’m currently running WP 2.3.3… I’m not sure if it could be an incompatibility with older versions of WP?

Anyway I could really use some help with this, I don’t even remember what my previous version of Super Cache was!

    Same problem here, error 500

I had this problem after installing and had to manually pull the new info out of the .htaccess file. Now I am unable to get admin to work. If I delete the plugin through ftp, the whole site goes down. How do I removed this plugin when I can not access admin?

Follow the advice in this post: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/249236?replies=3#post-1004527

    Does that help?

How do I manually deactivate this plugin? Can I do this through the database. It’s messed up my admin and I can’t get at it. I don’t want it to work at this point just remove it. Can just delete it because it then takes the whole site offline.

Follow the “How do I uninstall WP Super Cache?” instructions in the readme.txt
