    Hi,

I want to duplicate my WP site on my nas.

For that i’m using duplicator. As my site is quite big, I first download all the www directory, and than create the duplicator archive only for database. Than I download duplicator files to my NAS where the www files have been downloaded.

    Than I enter the https://my_nas_path/installer.php

And it doesn’t work. I have an http error 500 saying the page is not available at this time.

When I create a simple php file and do the same it works. I checked the file auhorisation and every thing is OK. I don’t understand why I have this error and can fix it.

using php -l installer.php i have a parser errors return.

My PHP version is the same on both sites.

    Can someone help me please?

    Many thanks.

    Best regards

    Hello @lanthalas ,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

It looks like the installer.php file is corrupted. To get the original installer.php file that comes with the backup, please follow the instructions in this page:
    https://duplicator.com/knowledge-base/how-to-get-the-original-installer-that-came-with-the-archive/

After producing the original installer, please retry the backup installation and let me know if a problem happened.

I’m looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Thanks!

    hi, thanks for your answer.

I get the installer.php from the zip file generated, and IT WORKS !

    Many thanks.

However, that means the installer.php file that documentor propose to download is not ok. What’s strange, I tried several versions and it was always the same probleme. Is the installer.php located on the serveur once?

    Best regards

    Philippe

    Hi @lanthalas ,

I’m happy that you succeeded to generate the installer.php and made it work!

The corruption in the installer.php files might happen while downloading the file, or while generating it.

Please try another web browser to download the installer.php, and check it.

If this doesn’t help, this may be a problem or a limitation from the server.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks
    !
