    Hello-

I’m using Post SMTP to send email through gmail. The emails go through but I’m getting an Internal Server error 500 and it’s preventing the contact form from displaying the success message.

    Hi @btork

    Hope you are doing good.

The HTTP status code 500 is a generic error response. It means that the server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request. This error is usually returned by the server when no other error code is suitable.

You need t talk to your hosting support or try to increase your website WordPress memory and then check.

    Thanks

Is it possibly an issue with my gmail setup? When I disable Post SMTP everything works fine, but then it isn’t using smtp and just sending email through the default method. It’s weird that the email gets sent with Post SMTP but something fails after and prevents the success message.

    Thanks.

I’d also like to note that the email gets sent but does NOT show in the Post SMTP email log, even though I have logging turned on.

We are unable to reproduce the mentioned issue on our staging site. It seems like the theme or some other plugin is conflicting with the Our plugin Can you change the theme to WordPress default 2022 or deactivate the plugins one by one and check if the issue still persists or not?

The conflict is between Post SMTP and Contact Form 7. When Post SMTP is deactivated the success message works perfectly.

Also, emails sent through the contact form never show in the Log, although they are successfully sent via gmail.

Actually, I added Post SMTP and Contact from 7 on my fresh staging site and I tested, and its worked fine but when I added the CF7 google sheet plugin then I got the errors, so now our team is looking into this issue and will fix this asap and release the update soon.

    Thanks

Hi, the same problem here, but I’m are not using CF7 google sheet plugin.

    I’m with the CF7 5.6.3 and Post SMTP 2.1.9

With Post SMTP, only the first recipient receives the email. The form stucks sending email and I can seee this message on browser console…

    @mserra

Which mailing service you are using with Post SMTP?

    Thank’s for answer M Haseeb,

I’m using IONOS SMTP servers …

    Type: SMTP
    Mailer Type: PostSMTP
    Mail Server: smtp.ionos.es
    Port: 587
    Security: STARTTLS
    Authentication: Login

The WooCommerce order email, work’s well. The contact forms email not.
