Every time I try to log into my wordpress with wordfence running, I get a 502 error.
If I insert wrong user and password, I get the correct error page and not a 502.

When I disable wordfence, everything works smooth. If I try to re-activate wordfence, I can’t because the plugin activation page gives a 502 error.

Tried to reinstall the plugin manually deleting the db tables and wflogs directory several times, nothing worked. WordPress is up to date, as plugins and wordfence itself is as well…

If it can be of any help, I’m running my DNSs on cloudflare, with dns proxy service, and had a lot of waring mails recently, telling me that users have been locked out from login, for too many login attempts

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @ukio,

    Sorry for the long response.

Can you check under Wordfence -> Tools -> Live Traffic? It’s possible that Wordfence is blocking all the IPs coming from CloudFlare, so you’ll want to adjust how Wordfence obtains its IPs.

Go to Wordfence -> All Options -> How does Wordfence get IPs, and choose Use the Cloudflare "CF-Connecting-IP" HTTP header to get a visitor IP. Only use if you're using Cloudflare..

    Hi again!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved. If you’re still having issues with Wordfence, please feel free to open another thread!
