You did a review that is not based on anything to what the plugin offers and without initiated any support topic.
Plugin does show counter only but not the social media icons. From what I can tell by the support, other users are having similar issues.
People create themes with integration with this plugin, adding new icons, but if I add new counters, it’s clear that the theme will not have to have new icons and will need to update… But apparently you think it is my fault and not the theme author.
But since every other person is having the exact same issue maybe the plugin would do better with an update.
Still a theme issue, you can test with any WordPress default theme to prove it. If don’t work on a regular WordPress default theme, YES, it’s my fault. Have you tried test on a WordPress default theme before give this plugin one star?
You edited this review… You stated with
Plugin is probably not compatible with 4.4.2 (?), does show a counter only but not the social media icons. Had to uninstall.
Easy to fix with CSS, if you show me you website.
That’s why is good first start a topic, so I can try help you before.

Correct, I did not personally initiate a support post, because a dozen others are having the exact same issue, asking you for support – however, the issue still has not been resolved (I did try your CSS code, which did not solve the issue). Therefore, did not see the need to start a tenth post asking the exact same question that others have already asked (but not seen a resolution to).
I submitted a review based on how the plugin performed – in this case it did not perform at all, thus my review.
If a plugin does not work with half of the WP-themes out there, then I will rate the plugin thereafter.
I’d be happy to change my rating once this plugin is compatible with many more themes than it seems to be today.

Can you prove that is half or you just tested one theme?

And I’m happy to help you get it fixed if you open a support forum and show me your website with this plugin installed.
