    Hi,

I updated the Redux plugin in WordPress and am now getting the following errors at the top of the page:

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /homepages/12/d90679885/htdocs/clickandbuilds/PendleTuitionCentre/wp-content/plugins/redux-framework/redux-core/inc/classes/class-redux-helpers.php on line 258

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /homepages/12/d90679885/htdocs/clickandbuilds/PendleTuitionCentre/wp-content/plugins/redux-framework/redux-core/appsero/Insights.php on line 365

It’s been years since this website was done and I can’t remember which version of the plugin it was before to rollback to!

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to the Redux support team.

We didn’t encounter a similar issue recently. Do you have a caching plugin installed on your website or a caching mechanism on your host?

If so, please clear the cache and check if this fixes your issue.

Also, could you check if this issue happens only on your localhost? Or it happens also on a remote server?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I’m not aware of any caching plugin installed and it’s not running locally, only on the main server?

I am now unable to login due to a cookie problem, even though I have tried to enable them?

ERROR: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output. For help, please see this documentation or try the support forums.

    Hi,

If these warnings prevent you from logging into your website, you can tell WordPress to hide warnings. This post will help you with that: https://aristath.github.io/blog/wp-hide-php-errors.

These two errors come from a function chat gets the site URL and home URL and work on them. so, this error shouldn’t be triggered in normal cases.

Can you please check if the site_url and home_url have values set in the wp-config file?

Also, you may disable all the plugins except for Redux and activate a default WordPress theme (TwentyTwnentyOne) and check if the errors still exist?

    Hi,

I am still struggling with this and I cannot locate the wp-config.php to change wp_debug status?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks.

The wp-config.php file should exist in the root directory of your website.

Can you please disable all the plugins except for Redux and activate a default WordPress theme (TwentyTwnentyOne) and check if the errors still exist?

I tried disabling the Redux plugin and the errors are no longer there but the lego and menus have now disappeared! Are there any alternatives I can use?

    Hi,

I’m sorry if my previous reply was confusing. I mean, please check if the issue exists when only Redux and the Twenty Twenty One theme are active.
