Plugin Support

Hi,
Since this looks a lot like a conflict with some other code, the first/next recommended step is the conflict test:
*Briefly* disable all other plugins and enable the default Twenty Twenty theme. Please also disable all add-ons. If this fixes the problem, enable everything one by one or in small chunks, checking each time to see when the problem returns.
Well, it s regular template. So your plugin is not compatible. Disappointing.
Hi @mojohelps,
We completely understand your frustration, and we’re sorry for the confusion and inconvenience caused.
Our plugin is designed to work with all standard templates, so this behavior is unexpected. The earlier response may have been unclear — it wasn’t meant to suggest incompatibility, but rather to explore whether another plugin might be interfering with its functionality.
Could you let us know if any error messages appeared on screen or in your PHP error logs when the issue occurred? That would really help us understand what’s going on.
Also, if you can, please share a screenshot of your active plugins and the theme you’re using. This will help us try to replicate the setup on our end.
You can use a site like https://snipboard.io/ to share the screenshots.
In some cases, the issue turns out to be caused by a conflict with another plugin. A quick conflict test can often help identify whether something else is interfering and allow us to move forward with a solution faster.
Hi,
1. no error message appears. Your plugin is not responding after saving a couple of translations and then crashing the whole site and even whole database for a while.
2. I am using the Surety theme with all necessary plugins.
3. While you might be right that one of the for the theme necessary plugins is not compatible with your plugin – the point is your plugin is said to work with most themes. This is a common theme used by thouhsands of other websites.
So testing which general plugin needed for the theme is causing the issue is not a solution as I will keep using the theme – but not your plugin.
I dont knwo what else to say except that your plugin doesnt seem to be compatible with as many themes as you might think.
Thanks for your time anyways.
Hi @mojohelps,
Since the Surety theme is a commercial theme, if you’re able to share a copy with us privately for testing, please send it to [email protected]. That will allow me to check things directly and see if the issue can be reproduced.
If sending the theme isn’t an option, a screen recording of the issue would also work well. You can upload the video using a service like WeTransfer
For the clearest view of the issue, it would be ideal if the video is taken on a clean test site where only TranslatePress and the Surety theme are active.
Let me know what works best for you.
Hi @mojohelps,
I just wanted to check in and follow up with you. I’d really like to help you get to the bottom of what is causing this, as this is an exception—we rarely encounter this kind of issue with TranslatePress and want to investigate it further. We’d really appreciate your help so we can look into it more closely and find a solution together.
If you’re able to share a copy of the Surety theme privately at [email protected], that would be fantastic and help us test things directly. If that’s not possible, a quick screen recording showing the issue would also be super helpful— you can upload the video using a service like WeTransfer
Thank you, and feel free to reach out whenever you’re able.
