When I log into the Kit dashboard and try to connect, it gives this error:

Your site may not be ready for Site Kit

The request to the authentication proxy has failed with an error: request_failed Get help.

While the site ownership is verified in Google Console and the helper plugin (Site Kit by Google – IPv6 Support Helper) is also installed, is it possibly due to the server location (iran) and US sanctions?

Thanks for reaching out @alialef13. If you’re sites is hosted in Iran, you may indeed encounter such errors, as the Site Kit service is using a Google top level domain. Unfortunately this is outside of our control. In regions where Google services are blocked at government level, it’s expected that users who cannot access Google services will encounter these errors.

Let me know if you have any further questions on this. Thank you.

I completely understand. Unfortunately, the company’s host is in Tehran. We ourselves are captured by the cruel and irrational policies of our government and are trapped in a prison called a country cut off from the world.

So there is no solution for now?

Sorry to hear that @alialef13. We can’t assist with any such workarounds, however, if your site is hosted elsewhere, you should be able to complete set up. I wish I could assist and ensure setup does complete, but hopefully at some stage such blocks of services will be no more.
