    Hello,

I am linking Sitekit to WordPress for the first time on a new WP site. The error I receive when setting up Sitekit is: “Error: Bad Request / missing parameter: ‘redirect_uri’ (Note: I am using Chrome, but have also tried Safari)

I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Resetting Sitekit in WordPress using the Tools menu
    2. Signing out of all Google accounts and re-authenticating the primary Google account
    3. Incognito window
    4. Different browsers (Chrome and Safari)
    5. Changing the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) in Settings to http://btiequip.com. (Was previously set by developers to http://btiequip.com.wplive)

Any help would be appreciated; I did not find this exact error anywhere in the forums.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for reaching out @victor1944 and thank you for sharing all of the information you have. This error is occurring because the records that Site Kit registered on your site don’t match your current setup.

The most common reasons you will see this are when:

    1. You have migrated your site or changed URLs with Site Kit connected before you migrated
    2. You have changed your WordPress address URL
    3. You have renamed your WordPress directory and have your WordPress files in it’s own directory

As you have tried changing your site URL, would it be possible at this stage for you to revert back to the original setup temporarily? If yes, then please could you do this, then perform another Site Kit reset. Once you have performed the reset, switch back to your new URL and attempt Site Kit setup once more.

Note that by resetting, you and any other previously connected administrators, will need to set up the plugin once more. You’ll also need to connect any previously connected modules.

If the above is not an option then we should be able to reset your site credentials from our side but this may take a couple of days to request and complete.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
