Hey there caramaple,
Hope you’re well today!
I’ve been searching for similar issues and in one of the threads the issue has been resolved by re installing the plugin.
Can you please try reinstalling the plugin to see if that will help?
Best regards,
Bojan
Thanks, Bojan – yes, I have also seen this, but I tried to avoid it as it said that he had to ‘recreate each user’.
Would I really loose all the users which are already set up at this point?
Thanks!
Hey again caramaple,
The user information is located in the database so reinstalling the plugin shouldn’t affect users and additional information at all.
If you want to be completely safe you can simply create a site backup which you can restore to if anything goes wrong but I’m pretty sure users will remain there after you reinstall the plugin.
Hope this helps π
Best regards,
Bojan
Hi Bojan,
Tried it and it seems to work after a new installation.
Yet, this has deleted all my settings (subscription/access levels) and asked me to do the whole membership set-up from scratch. Good that I tested it on a staging site…Not sure how I could implement on live site without starting from scratch.
Any insights which files to update in oder to fix the issue without going through the whole setup.
Thanks!
Hey again caramaple,
That’s really odd. I’ve tested Membership 2 once again just to test this out and users, levels even protection rules are being saved once the plugin is reinstalled.
Are you sure you’re using membership 2 and not the old membership plugin?
Best regards,
Bojan
Cheating, are we? is not a WordPress error.
Likely you have a plugin vs plugin conflict.
MingleForum, WP-Forum (and the VastHtml fork of WP-Forum) and BackupWordPressProGDrive all program WordPress with this error.
Hey there Jason Hendriks,
Thanks for helping out π
Cheers,
Bojan
Thanks to both – yes, all working now and error not appearing anymore!
Hey caramaple,
Glad you managed to fix this π
@jason Hendriks thanks again for helping!
Have a great day!
Cheers,
Bojan
