Error connecting Site Kit

    After installing Site Kit I get the error message “Error connecting Site Kit”.

    With all plugins apart from Site Kit disabled and with the 2020 Theme the problem persists.

    Please advise how this issue can be resolved.

    Hi @supertrooper, thanks for getting in touch. I’d be happy to help you with this if you could please share some more information:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.  
    2. Does the error include the message “site not found”?
    3. Do you recall having connected Site Kit previously for this site? If so, please share if you recall using a different wp-admin path or WordPress files directory.
    4. Have you tried to reset Site Kit at any stage (Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit)?

    Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Once you share the above information I can help suggest some next steps to take.

    Yes, the error includes the message “site not found”. No, we are installing Site Kit for the first time.

    Resetting Site Kit resolved the problem.
