I can’t get the plugin to work with my AD Server. I have tested LDAP Settings using Apache Directory Studio so I know AD is OK.

I’ve also tried the Add Directory Authenticated User option but I get Error Connecting to LDAP Server. Can’t contact LDAP server. I’m new to Word press and this is a new WordPress install out of the box on Cent OS 7 and have enabled PHP LDAP module. I advice on what I might have missed.

Here’s a test script you can use to pinpoint LDAP issues without the overhead/interference of wordpress: http://pastebin.com/Ri07VXkN

Make sure to change line 5 – 17, and adjust lines 19 – 29 as necessary.

Completely redid the script and moved it over to github: https://github.com/gilzow/simple-ldap-test/

Make sure to change the necessary items at the top of the script.

Using the test script I worked out that my Apache Config was not allowing php to communicate with LDAP. adjusted permissions and now plugin working perfectly.
