ERROR: cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: http

Hello,

I get the following error when I try to use the icecast now playing widget.

ERROR: cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: http

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this error?

I’m using BUTT encoder with the latest version of icecast to stream audio to the site witch is hosted on a separate server

hi, did you try changing your dns name to url numbers? had a prob here with my player not seeing my dns name after a storn here and several power flickers
you may have to wait a day for namehost to resolve dns
hope this helps

No, is this something I need to do on the icecast server ?

The icecast server url is http://172.119.123.141:8002

Is this something I can change in the icecast config file and router?

what operating system?
open a terminal and type sudo apt-get install libcurl4-gnutils-dev it may help

I’m using windows 10 with icecast 2.4.4 for windows along with BUTT encoder.

Here also the same problem!

Is the plugin compatible with WordPress 5.2.2?
Beacause after the WordPress update from 5.1.1 to 5.2.2, this issue comes.

It always worked with earlyer versions of WordPress

solution to curl 6 error, remove the http:// from the server address, worked for me
