    Hi there, getting this error when trying to activate.
    But the WP version is 5.2 and says latest version installed

    Hi @the_owl,

    Unfortunately, we had to drop the backwards compatibility with the older versions of WordPress versions related with the PHP version being required.

    You can try updating to a more recent WordPress version ( 5.3 at least ) for NextGen Gallery to work or downgrade to an older NextGen Gallery version ( 3.3.17 at least ) https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/nextgen-gallery/advanced/
