Error Database Restore

    Good evening UpdraftPlus community,

    I’m reaching out to you tonight with a serious problem that’s really getting me down.

    Let me give you some context:

    • I created my entire website using the hosting system domain from Ionos.
    • I made backups of all the elements using Updraft Plus.
    • I wanted to restore my site from my domain louermonsitev2.live-website.com to my domain louermonsite.com.
    • I installed WordPress on the new domain, then installed Updraft Plus and restored all the elements from the backup.

    Now, I’m left with an inaccessible site, showing “Error establishing a database connection,” and when I enter the old database connection data that is still with my host, I get “Prefix database is empty.” When I enter the “WP” prefix, it takes me to the WordPress site creation page…

    I no longer understand what’s happening, and I’m lost… Can someone help me?

    Hi,

    To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the migration log?
    You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your new site location.
    You can send the log file as an attachment or copy the contents into an online tool (such as http://pastebin.com/ )

    Hi,

    Thank you for sharing the log. It shows that the restoration was successful. Can you check if your wp-config.php has the correct database details? You can also check this tutorial I found online. I hope it helps.
