• I tried to install the BeOnePage Pro theme but I got this message:

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The style.css stylesheet doesn’t contain a valid theme header.

    Theme install failed.

I tried to install the files manually via FTP but I still get the same message. Can anyone help me fix this please?

  • Hi daisy12344,

are you possibly trying to install a child theme?

I don’t believe BeOnePage Pro is a child theme.

Have you tried to contact the developers? If you’ve purchased the theme, you should be able to get support from them.

No, I haven’t heard from them yet. I just noticed that my previous attempts of uploading the theme ended up in my ‘media’ tab. Is that supposed to happen?

No, that isn’t supposed to happen. You should upload the theme in your WordPress dashboard under Appearance => Themes => Add New and then install and activate the theme accordingly.

I did that already and I still get the same message.
I think it is something within the css file that will not let me upload the theme. Do you see anything wrong with it?

[moderator note – sorry, but that’s just way too much code. i went ahead and created a Pastebin for you; in the future, please use that for pasting large blocks of code, it works better there anyway.]

The stylesheet seems to be fine. But as mentioned, there is not much we can do here. You should contact the theme developers and get the support you’ve paid for.
