    Hi Volker!

Sorry for the delayed response. I wasn’t notified that you had added a support request. But the reason you are getting that error is because your server has an older version of PHP on it. But I went ahead and changed some things in the plugin so that it’s backwards compatible to older versions of PHP.

So if you go ahead and download version 1.0.1, it should work for you:

    Thanks!
    Tony

Installed https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/squirrels-auto-inventory/ 3rd time now and can only add 1 car and have to deactivate and reinstall to see the 2nd car. Cannot edit any of the cars except for the sample…. Please advise. What are we doing incorrectly. Was so excited to see an inventory for USA cars. Have been using JPro Cars Premium and we are very frustrated with their structure not searching for Models and not being able to list years prior to 1930.
    Would greatly appreciate your assistance.

    Hi Miki,

Do you know what version of PHP your server has installed? I just released an update that makes it work on older versions, so that could have been it.

Another issue could be that it might be conflicting with another plugin. Would you mind sending me a list of other plugins you have activated on your site?

Otherwise, I’m not sure what the problem is. I would be happy to take a peek at your website if you want to let me know the URL.

    Thanks,
    Tony

    Hi, Tony,

How would I check version of PHP? Just know enough to be a danger to myself. LOL!
Here is the list of current Plugins – only one I think might be the problem is the JPro Cars Premium. But if I deactivate I would have to put all 81 cars on today with your Plugin….in order for our site not to look terrible.

You would probably need to ask your hosting provider what version.

Can you visit your plugins page and see if there is a prompt to install the new version? It should say something like:

There is a new version of Squirrels Auto Inventory available

And if you press the ‘update now’ link it will install the new version for you. That may fix your issues (unless you already upgraded and it’s still not working).

What happens when you press the “Add” button on the Inventory page? I just installed your theme (carzine) onto my site and everything works fine on my end. So my guess is that it’s either that you are on an old version of PHP or that there is a plugin conflict, which could definitely be the case since you have a lot of plugins installed.

Let me know if installing the update helps at all.

    Thanks,
    Tony

    Tony,

Received the email regarding your upgraded plugin. Reactivated and upgraded and still cannot change update any inventory.
All I see on the screen is (with no activity – no spinning icon indicating that it is processing)
    Edit Inventory Cancel Update Delete
    Type: Make/Model:
Also, cannot add to the inventory.
Can make changes to MAKE, MODELS, TYPES & FEATURES.
    Any other suggestions?
    Thank you,
    Miki

Can you send me a screenshot of what you see? It’s hard to figure out what’s going on from here. The plugin is working great on several websites, so I’m guessing there is a conflict with another plugin.

My email address is [email protected]

    Thanks,
    Tony
