• My site is currently down – when I try to open my blog I get this message: Error establishing a database connection. I also get this message when I try to access my admin page. Any ideas?

I haven’t touched the wp-config.php file or anything else in months. I’m wondering if it’s because we haven’t upgraded in a while. How do you upgrade if you cannot access the admin page?

have you change your database access on CP or PHPMYADMIN

No, I really haven’t done anything other than post. We do a backup every Thursday afternoon, but that’s something that’s never caused a problem before and I could access after the backup last night but not today.

    site URL?

    I get following result:

    Yahoo! – Help
Sorry, the page you requested was not found.

Additionally, a 410 Gone error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Why?

There have WHOLE WP SET IN YOUR DOMAIN?

I’m having the same problem and haven’t touched my php file, either.

I did, however, just install a plug in, S2Members, and was in the process of verifying some paypal info when my site froze and I got the error message.

your site is running perfectly. Also I get the login page at ADMIN.

Okay- now it’s working fine. Odd.

    Thanks!

Not mine, bummer. Any ideas? I needed to upgrade, could that be the problem?

No, probably not. If your database is properly connected and running fine, your old version should appear just fine. Either your wp-config.php file is bad, your host is having issues, or maybe a plugin or something has flaked.

Did you do anything before the site went down?

I just confirmed with yahoo that my server is down. THanks for your help!
