I can view my site on a browser which hasn’t got me logged in (e.g. not an admin account) but i can’t access it if i’ve been logged in. It keeps saying database error.

I tried to follow a guide which told me to put some code into the wp-config folder to “repair the database” but it still wont work because the error comes up again.

Also I use GoDaddy hosting…if that helps?

    So to sum it up:
    – can view on a browser which isn’t logged in (firefox)
    – can’t access wp-admin at all (so i can’t access it on google chrome which has me logged into my admin on that browser)
    – tried following a guide – didn’t work…

    Thanks.

i should note, it says the following when I go to wp-admin:

    Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.
