Error establishing a database connection (newly moved wordpress)

    Ok so i have done this a few times in the past and always seem to have some sort of problem. I have moved a wordpress to a new host and set everything up. Imported my database. Gone to my url and im getting

    “Error establishing a database connection”

    The wp-config file is correct.

    I then tried to go in to phpmyadmin to make sure everything was fine and tried to change the privileges but then im getting
    “Access denied” im really not too good with the database side of wordpress.

    Check your database details with your hosts.

    They are correct that was the first thing i checked?

    Do you have any idea why the mySQL would not be allowing the privilege change? Im thinking that is why i can’t access the database?

    That’s a question that you will need to ask your hosts.
