Error establishing a database connection – Please help!

    Hi

    I tried accessing my website today and I got the following message:
    “Error establishing a database connection”

    I then logged into MyPhPAdmin then wp-users and I get the following error:
    “#1033 – Incorrect information in file:”.

    Could anyone please let me know why this is the case and what I can do about it.

    repair the database tables
    log in to host’s phpmyadmin
    click on database
    check mark all tables
    choose “repair” from drop down at bottom of page

    Thanks for your reply. I tried repairing the tables but I get an error message in many of them including the wp-users table which is as follows:

    “Incorrect information in file: ‘./xxx/wp_users.frm'”

    Any suggestions please?

    Just to add: I did backup my SQL database 2 days ago. If I import the file would it fix the problems?

    Any suggestions please? I desperately need to get the website back up. 🙁

    Something must have gone terribly wrong with your database. At this point, I recommend restoring from a backup.
