Error establishing a database connection [URL Redirects]

    Hello! I was attempting to upload an SSL certification to my site. I’m using GoDaddy.com. I created/downloaded my files and was attempting to place them on GoDaddy. However, it was’t working then I read an article about install SSL on my WordPress site. Per the instructions I was to change the url/site url in WordPress by adding the ‘https.’ After doing this, my site began showing the Error establishing a database connection. 🙁 I cannot even access the /wp-login.php to login. Instead it redirects the url to /wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ashley-nicole.net%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1.

    After searching the WP documents, I found the https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Changing_The_Site_URL article and followed the ‘Changing the URL directly in the database’ instructions. Still nothing works.

    Can anyone help me resolve this or did I just screw up my site big time?! 🙁
