Error establishing database connection

    Hi all
    I am receiving an ‘error establishing database connection’ warning
    when attempting a fresh install of word press. I have checked the database passwords more times than I can count and even tried creating an all new database. I have quadruple checked the config.php file. I have tried clearing the root folder and uploading a second time thinking there might have been some sort of error with the first upload, I have looked at all the “fixes” I have been able to find on the forumsbut none seem to solve the issue. Needless to say I am at my wits end-
    I have 2 other WP sites on this server that are working fine ( completely different databases and url’s )
    Anybody?

    Hi IIicht,

    Have you checked access to the database with phpmyadmin?
    If you CAN access the database with phpmyadmin,

    >> delete the wp-config.php file of the site in question.

    WP will then help you to ‘create’a new one.
    Fill out the required info and you should be back in business.

    If you CANNOT access the database with phpmyadmin, the problem sits at the Dbase end.
