I am unable to sign into my administration page. Upon attempting to do so I receive a message “Error establishing Database Connection.” Please advise.

Somehow your database details at Hostgator or in your wp-config.php file got changed. See Editing wp-config.php « WordPress Codex

Thank you! I contacted Hostgator and they resolved the problem.
