    i would suggest you to delete this backupwp plugin from cpanel>filemanager>yourdoomain>public_html/domain>wp-content>plugins

    and the issue might be resolved.

    I just found it! They’re talking about it right now on the plugin page: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/3011-gives-redirect-error?replies=6#post-4205626

    I was so confused with that database connection error. Good think I checked again and saw the different error. Still running a backup, will let you know how the removal works.

    for the backup procedure, i would recommend. WP Database Manager. the best one to go with.

    There is a code suggestion fix by the plugin author. I did try it. No luck. I had to removed the plugin folder. All was fine afterward. Thank you for your recommendation, I had just started searching for a backup replacement!
