error even after uninstall

    Hello,

    I am new to wordpress and I have a setup running on version 4.2.23
    I installed this plugin but realised it is not working as expected, may be because of my old wordpress version.
    I deactivated and uninstalled the plugin but since then most of my pages on editor have errors as follows:

    It is a big problem as my existing functionality is getting affected.
    e.g. Media library is not showing images, visual composer is not appearing on any of the pages
    🙁

    I am not sure how to remove the reference of this plugin completely.

    What makes you think that Photonic is causing the issue? Where in the error are you seeing Photonic?

    Well, it started happening just after install/uninstall of this plugin so I am suspecting. If you think its not the plugin I can try seeking help in general WP forum.

    There is no correlation between the plugin and your error. The simplest way for you to verify if Photonic is causing your errors is to do the following:

    1. Open the page where you are seeing the errors. View the source code for that page (in Chrome this is Ctrl + U)
    2. Now search for Photonic. If you see any instance of Photonic files or options there that are not a part of your post content, then some part of Photonic is still active, otherwise it is not.

    Basically when you deactivate a plugin, it has absolutely no way to interfere with WP script execution – WP’s architecture prevents it from doing so. So there is no way you will have an inactive / uninstalled plugin causing you a JavaScript error – that error has to come from an active plugin.

    Your errors seem to be coming from UpdraftPlus in combination with a bunch of other plugins – you would be better off contacting those plugins.

    I am curious as to how you have version 4.2.23 of WP. WP 4.2 is from 2015, and though the patch you are using is more recent, it is highly likely that your active plugins don’t work with your version of WP.

    I tried to open media library and again I can see some errors with reference to photonic.
    I agree with what you said before but I am not sure why is it still referring to photonic.
    I checked the reference in source code of the page but there is no reference.
    Please let me know if you can give me any more debugging tips.
