It seems that our API calls to your sites are blocked, but I can’t figure out why. Could you try to load one of the sites on WordPress.com, and then check your server error logs? It should tell us more about what’s blocking the calls.
If you don’t know how to access your server error logs, your hosting provider should be able to help.
Let me know how it goes.
Jeremy, I’ve been having the same issue also on both sites I have since the auto update feature was introduced.
I’ve set the log level on the webserver into debug so it captures everything, and no issues are coming back. When I try to look at plugins from wordpress.com, I don’t get any connection attempts in the logs, so it looks like its not even reaching the site. There are no network ACL’s on port 80. The only ACL in place is an IP rule configured to restrict wp-admin folder to a specific range, but I have opened this up but still get the same issue. It seems as if it’s not even attempting to connect. I’ve verified xmlrpc.php access is also unrestricted.
Do you have a note of the IP ranges connections would be coming from so I can check and see if they are even hitting the firewall?
@s3marketing – don’t mean to hijack your post, just seemed silly creating a separate thread for the same issue
@samr92 Could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?

Although your issue seems similar to the one reported by @s3marketing, what’s causing the issue could be very different. In order to find that out, I would need to know your site URL, to be able to take a closer look.
If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

Thank you!
