Hi – I’m getting errors in my WooCommerce logs for two orders that do not exist:

Thanks. And the error, it’s from today as well or it’s just replicating over and over? Have you tried deleting the error to see if it comes back?

I’m assuming this error is in logs, correct?

Hi @serafinnyc – thanks for the reply! I can try a conflict test, but I’m not sure what the “parent_id” could be and there’s nowhere to look because the orders do not exist.

This is showing up in the log every day, again and again. I’m not sure that deleting the log is going to have any impact.

So if it’s showing up every day then it’s stuck in CRON somewhere and needs to be canned.

Can you to the WP Menu and look for Tools > Scheduled Actions and search for that order number and then if it shows up simply select it and delete it.

Hey, @ashleyrussell!

Can you please run a conflict test to see if something external is interfering with this?

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

— Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

— Also, you can consider using a plugin like Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it is helpful to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

— It is important to consider as well a staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

Apologies, I’ve been troubleshooting another issue, but this is not resolved for us. I did create a staging site and switched to Storefront and am still getting the following errors:

Plugin conflicts can cause all kinds of issues on the website. A plugin or custom code might be incorrectly setting the parent_id.

Hi @carolm29 – running the Storefront theme and with only the WooCommerce plugin active, I am still getting these errors in my WooCommerce logs:

Again, neither of these orders (id #s 3334 or 76817) exist. When I search for them in orders, no items are found.

Hi @ashleyrussell

Since you have already checked the “Scheduled Actions” and found nothing, and the issue persists even after changing the theme to Storefront and deactivating all other plugins, it means this isn’t a theme or plugin conflict.

This leads me to believe that there might be some orphaned data in your database related to these orders. You could use a database cleanup tool like the Advanced Database Cleaner plugin. Please ensure you have a full site backup before proceeding, as this can potentially remove necessary data.

Additionally, head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

WooCommerce transients – Clear
Expired transients – Clear
Clear template cache – Clear
Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
Clear customer sessions -Clear
Product lookup tables – Regenerate
Regenerate the product attributes lookup table – Regenerate

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, it would be best to get a developer or someone comfortable with database manipulation involved. They can directly inspect your database to find and remove any lingering data related to these orders.
