Error from Authorize Endpoint: true

I’m trying to install & activate this plugin – I added it to our staging site about 3 weeks ago with no problems, but now I’m trying to add it to production – whenever I activate it I get this error;

Error from Authorize Endpoint: true

The plugin never activates. The fuller error is;

PHP Fatal error: Declaration of PublishPressFuture\\Core\\DI\\Container::has($id) must be compatible with Psr\\Container\\ContainerInterface::has(string $id): bool in /nas/content/live/sitename/wp-content/plugins/post-expirator/src/Core/DI/Container.php on line 107, referer: https://www.sitename/wp-admin/network/plugin-install.php?s=Publishpress%2520future&tab=search&type=term

Can you advise what the issue is here & how I can get it sorted?

Running PHP 8 & WordPress version 6.2

Hi @cruciblenick

This is happens when some other plugin use the same library but different version. We are aware of this issue and we will fix this in the next release.

Unfortunately, we dont have a timeframe at the moment. Our team still discussing the best solutions and testing them.

If you are urgent, we recommend you use the older version at the moment, while waiting for the new release. The older version should work fine.

Ok thanks, where could I find an older version to download? I added the plugin to our staging site towards the end of March, so I think the version on there is the same but there’s a difference in plugins, hence why it isn’t working on prod. If you could point me to where I can try an older version that would be great.

Thanks for the help – I’ve tried going back as far as version 2.8.0 and I still get the same error. Do you know which older version shouldn’t have the error by any chance?

The 2.8.0 version should works fine. Can you make sure to delete the previous plugin first?

@rizaardiyanto Yeah I have been deleting previous versions but the same error still occurs, back to version 2.8.0

We are not sure why it happened, because the issue should only happen in the new version because we update the library on the new version.

However, we will fix this issue in the future release. Its currently in our developer priority. Thanks for your patience.

@rizaardiyanto Not sure if this helps you or not but I was able to get the plugin working when I de-activated all other site plugins. When I was testing with each one, the only plugin I got the error with was when the ‘PublishPress Revisions Pro‘ plugin was activated. When this isn’t activated, I can activate the expirator plugin.

Sorry, It will still need some minor adjustments to be released. After that, it will go to the testing phase to ensure nothing is broken.
