ERROR: Google reCAPTCHA verification failed.

    I installed your great advanced google recaptcha plugin yesterday. But when I login today, I got an error message “Google reCAPTCHA verification failed.”. I can’t access to my wp_admin page to change settings or even disable this plugin first. Would you please help me to look at it? My website is malichuang.com. Thanks.

    I delete this plugin from ftp. And now I can login to my website now. I’ll try to figure out what’s going on with my website.

    Hi,

    Sorry to hear about the issue. The reasons I can think of are:
    – you have another plugin that uses Google reCAPTCHA active
    – you are using reCAPTCHA v3 and something is blocking the widget in the bottom-right corner or is hiding it
    – there is some other Javascript error on the login page preventing reCAPTCHA from working properly

    Hi Alex

    I faced the same issue on my website and resolved it however I believe an update is required to fix this issue. Here is what happened.

    Basically if I run the website on PHP 8.1, I receive the same error as reported by malic but if I switch the PHP version to 7.4, it works without any error.

    I believe a fix should be done in the plugin so it works with PHP 8.1 as well.
