A problem arises when attempting to change the Title using a bulk selection.

When changed individually, it works correctly, but when using it in bulk selection, the following error appears:

An ajax.fail error has occurred. Please reload the page and try again. (error), jqXHR( 500, error, <p>There has been a critical error on this website.</p><p><a href=”https://ww.wp.xz.cn/documentation/article/faq-troubleshooting/”>Learn more about diagnosing WordPress.</a></p>)

Can you provide me with a solution?

    Thank you.

Thanks for your report. I am traveling until Monday and will investigate when I return home. Can you tell me what value you are trying to fill the Title with? Also, are the items in an RML folder? Are you using the free or premium version? Thanks for any additional details you can provide.

I have had a chance to run a preliminary test regarding this issue. I am able to use the bulk edit action to modify the Title value of items in an RML (free version) folder without any errors. I regret I cannot reproduce the problem you have reported. If you can answer the questions I posted above and give me more details of the steps you follow to produce the problem I will investigate further. Thanks for any help you can provide.

It has been 6 weeks since my last post in this topic. I assume you have been able to find a solution for your application.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if the problem persists and you have more information to share. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.

I’m sorry. I apologize for not responding sooner.

The error occurs only when trying to assign the same title to all selected images.
In any case, your plugin is extremely helpful for the rest of the tasks.

Thank you very much for your response and for your interest.
If I can help you with anything, please let me know.

    Best regards.

Thanks for your update. As I wrote earlier, I have not been able to reproduce the problem on my system. Can you answer my earlier questions:

If you can access the error log for your system there might be clues in it. You may be able to see the log on the Settings/Media Library Assistant Debug tab. You can also activate some MLA logging and run a test.

    To activate MLA’s debug logging:

    1. Navigate to the Settings/Media Library Assistant Debug tab.
    2. Scroll down to the “MLA Reporting” text box and enter “0x3”. This will turn on MLA debug logging for AJAX operations such as the Bulk Edit action.
    3. Click the Save Changes button to record your new setting.
    4. Optionally, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “Reset” to clear the error log. You may not want to do this depending on how you manage your error log.

Once that’s done you can run a test. The debug log will be very detailed, so restricting the test as best you can will be very helpful. For example, try running the Bulk Edit action on one or two items.

When you’ve finished testing, go back to the Debug screen and:

    1. Enter “0” in the MLA Reporting text box to turn debug logic off.
    2. Click the Save Changes button to record your new setting.
    3. Scroll to the bottom and click “Download” to get the log content in a text file.

There should be a lot of messages written to the log, so limit the amount of activity during the logging period. You should see messages in the log like these:

    [27-Jun-2020 23:09:30 UTC] 610 MLACore::mla_plugins_loaded_action() MLA 2.83 (20200621) mla_debug_level 0x13 [27-Jun-2020 23:09:30 UTC] 37 MLA_Ajax::initialize( false ) $_REQUEST = array ( ‘action’ => ‘mla-inline-mapping-iptc-exif-scripts’, ‘mla_admin_nonce’ => ‘b09f9d91ed’, ‘bulk_action’ => ‘iptc-exif-options-map’, )

Of course, the details will be different. Thanks for your patience and for any additional help you can provide.
