Error in Template and Pattern Editor

    When I go to Appearance -> Editor and use the template and pattern editor, I see the following errors in the console and as a front-end notification.

    What could be happening in this case? I’ve already changed the template I’m using on the site. I’ve tried several default WordPress templates and still nothing.
