Error in Wp Mail SMTP

    Hi,
    I have inserted and set up the Wp Mail SMTP plugin on my site but I get this error inside the plugin:
    “Attention! Your site’s last attempt to send emails was unsuccessful.
    Email Source: WooCommerce
    Mailer: Other SMTP
    SMTP Error: Unable to authenticate.
    For more details, try running an email test or reading the latest error event.”

    It is an ecommerce and the email that is associated with the wordpress site is different from the email that was entered to receive WooCommerce order notifications but are both gmail. I installed the plugin precisely to prevent order notifications from arriving in spam.

    Here’s how I set it up:
    In the section “Primary connection” in the “sender email” I entered the email associated with the wordpress site.
    In the section “Mailer” I chose “Other SMTP”.

    In the other fields I have:
    Host SMTP: smtp.gmail.com
    Crittografia: SSL
    Porta SMTP: 465
    Auto TLS: ON
    Autenticazione: ON

    Then, In the SMTP username I entered the email where I receive order notifications from WooCommerce and the related password.

    What do you think the problem could be?

    Hi @margherita1994,

    Thanks for reaching out! Please kindly note that you can only send emails using your WP Mail SMTP authenticated email address. However, if you configure the Gmail mailer instead, you have the ability to set up alias emails, allowing you to send emails using your email aliases as well.

    Once you configure the Gmail mailer on your site, please follow this guide and set up your alias email(s).

    This will allow you to set different “from email” addresses within different plugins such as WooCommere.
