Error Installing Any Templates

    I just created a new blog and I’ve been trying to upload a new theme via the zip file theme uploader. I’ve tried uploading the entire file and only the theme zip file, but all I get is an error saying “The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2016/01.” I’ve had so many problems with this blog already and I’m getting desperate trying to figure out why these problems keep happening. How can I get these templates uploaded?

    what themes exactly have you tried?

    are you using the instructions from https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Using_Themes

    I have tried a few that I’ve downloaded from other websites, like a theme I downloaded from Beautiful Dawn’s (https://beautifuldawndesigns.net/free-stuff-for-subscribers/) subscriber “free stuff” section. Each time I download a theme I try to upload it via the Administration panel. I’m not sure if my host offers cPanel and I’m not sure how to upload it via FTP since I downloaded an FTP client and it won’t open on my laptop (Filezilla says it won’t open because my Mac won’t open programs downloaded from anywhere other than the App store, but I know that’s not true because I’ve never had a problem with that in the past.
