Error Log into Dashboard

I received this:

Error 500 - Internal server error

An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.

My site can be viewed and registered fine, but the log in returned the error above. I tried to remove the .htaccess, but still no luck. I may try to remove plugins, but really have no clue as i have been using a wealth of them.

Hope someone can help.
