Error message importing into Godaddy

    I moved my hosting to Godaddy and can’t import content from my sited which was hosted on WordPress.com.

    On the old site, I exported the content as an xml file. On the new site, I installed the WordPress importer plug-in – Get this message:

    Not Found
    The requested URL /wp-admin/admin.php was not found on this server.
    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Please help!

    did you do a WordPress quick install on GoDaddy or a manual install of the WordPress files?

    Manual install. Godaddy told me you can’t do quick install from wp.com.

    do you think there was any error during your manual install process? before trying to importing the file did anything seem odd?
    ===
    (note: i don’t think there would be any different importing content into manual or quick install.)
