Error message right now: Your site’s REST API does not seem to be accessible. Jetpack Boost requires access to your REST API in order to receive site performance scores. Please make sure that your site’s REST API is active and accessible, and try again.
It seemed to have fixed itself yesterday, but today I am back to the same issue…?
Also still not possible to generate critical CSS…
Okay, I just got of the phone with my hosting because I had overall issues with the website. Disabling your boost plugin solved all those problems. So something isn’t working as it should unfortunately.
Hi @vesco27
Sorry to hear this! What you describe usually happens if there is a conflict with another plugin. Did you have any other caching or performance plugins enabled at the same time as Boost?
Yes, I do (Core Web Vitals & PageSpeed Booster).
When deactivating that plugin, Jetback Boost functions again (or so I thought), but… With a mobile score of only 13. Never been that low before. Upon refreshing, it again fails to generate anything (timed out while waiting for speed-score.)… So it can’t just be that plugin. Also with Boost activated suddenly links sent via social media don’t work properly (no image included) anymore?? See screenshot below

Hello there – I see you have LiteSpeed Cache plugin also installed – could you please deactivate this plugin as well and then check again?
We donβt recommend having the same optimization enabled in Jetpack Boost and other optimization plugins, as it is unlikely to benefit your site and may cause unexpected issues.
Also, if you have any site performance optimization enabled at your hosting provider server, then please temporarily deactivate that as well.
That plugin was only installed recently, the problems/issues started before that. So I guess I’ll just leave the Jetpack Boost disabled…
Hello there – I understand your concern about the timing of the plugin installation. It’s true that the plugin was recently installed, but it’s always important to consider the overall performance of the website. Disabling Jetpack Boost is one approach, but it might be worth investigating the root cause of the issues to ensure optimal performance. We can work together to troubleshoot and identify any underlying issues. Let me know if you’re open to exploring this further. π
Always open to exploring/troubleshooting!
Hey @vesco27 – great to hear! I appreciate your openness.
I checked the Jetpack connection for your site again and I see the XML-RPC and REST API connection both are working fine and Jetpack is connected as well.
Could you please reinstall the Boost plugin and check if the issue is still happening? Please don’t remove/deactivate the Boost plugin if the issue is still there.
Also, another thing: The other performance plugin, like LiteSpeed Cache, may have a similar feature to that Boost offers. For example, Concatenate CSS and Concatenate JS. So please make sure you use similar features only at one place, either at Boost or LiteSpeed Cache (not at both places). Using same features at both places will decrease the site performance in place of increasing it.
