Error occurs whenever I update plugin

    Every time I update the BBPress Style Pack plugin I get the error below.

    Warning: file_put_contents(/home/domains/underlair.com/pages/wp-content/plugins/bbp-style-pack/css/bspstyle.css): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/domains/underlair.com/pages/wp-content/plugins/bbp-style-pack/includes/generate_css.php on line 27

    My server admin then does something to fix it but it then breaks the next time I update the plugin. Now he has given me direct FTP access to the site so I can fix these things. Unfortunately, I am clueless.

    ok, I suspect that this is a file permissions issue.

    two possible solutions
    1. can you ask your server admin what they do – I suspect it is changing a file permission, and then you can do this
    or probably better if it works
    2. try
    dashboard>settings>CSS location and

    click to activate and set the location to

    wp-content/uploads/

    click save

    This will then save this file to a different place which should stop that error appearing.
