I’ve set up the plugin correctly and can selectively load plugin per page.

however when I attempt to re-order the plugin load order, I get this message:

The order values were not unique so no changes were made.

I did in face re-ordered several plugins by dragging them around, so I’m not sure what is generating this error?

This has popped up on a couple of peoples sites. It is preventing you from saving because something is interfering with the js functions that are setting the order numbers for your plugins. When you submit the load order the plugins should have a unique number in the load order. Yours is either submitting it with no numbers or 2 of the plugins have the same number and PO doesn’t know what order to place them in. This could be a javascript conflict with another plugin. Or it could be that you are using a custom admin theme and the load order numbers are missing. If you can grant me temporary access to your admin I can take a look at the page source and look for javascript errors. If not you will need to look at the source of the page and make sure the numbers are there and unique. Also look or any javascript errors.

I’m using Genesis Parralax Pro. It’s also misrepresenting the number of plugins in one of the groups.

Where can I send you the login details?

Did the latest version of the plugin resolve this problem? There was potential for a javascript error on the page that may have been causing this.

I just updated (sorry it took me so long to reply) and I’m sorry to report no, I’m still getting the same error as of 5.7.5.

I’m sending you the login details now.

Thank you for all the time you’ve been putting in on this plugin, it’s appreciated!

The problem is coming from a plugin called MainWP child. It looks like this plugin is network activated but not registered as a network activated plugin so it isn’t added to the page. Can you disable this plugin? I don’t see it in the list and I also don’t see the admin interface in the admin menu.

It looks like there is an option to hide the MainWP Child plugin in the settings on your main site. I turned this on in my test site but the MainWP Child plugin is not being hidden. If you turn that option off you should be able to order your plugins.

So sorry, I thought I replied to this. Yes, that’s the problem. I unhid the MainWp child plugin and the order updated without a hitch. Thank you so much.

Why this is not part of core, I don’t understand!

Glad we got it straightened out. This is a feature I put into the plugin to prevent a plugin that wasn’t visible on the plugin page from being deactivated when the new list was saved in the order you want.
I don’t understand why it isn’t part of the core either. That’s part of the reason I wrote it. Makes sense to be able to streamline wordpress instead of having everything loaded on every page.
